Antonia’s Line (Dutch with subtitles)

A quirky and whimsical story with themes on love, family and community.

Winner of the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 1996, it gently explores topics on feminism and liberalism through the independent Antonia who, following World War 2, returns to the village of her birth when her mother leaves her a farm.  Here she establishes and nurtures a close knit but unusual community.
